A longtime fantasy has been to host a radio show – you remember, in the days of DJ’s who actually selected the music.  Guess what?  There are a few of those DJ’s out there.  On KIWR 89.7 FM “The River”, in Council Bluffs, IA, Rick Galusha has been hosting Pacific Street Blues for 22 years!  During that time, he has met lots of famous performers such as Dr. John, the Rolling Stones, Pete Townshend and on and on.  So, I am honored that he asked if I’d be interested in guest-hosting a show and bring in ten or so favorite Blues, Roots or Americana songs.  It was an honor and a blast!

The show aired on Sunday, September 5th – a day after my 40th birthday!  A couple of songs pay homage to New Orleans and Louisiana, a.k.a. “back home”.  There is a thread of new music reflecting old music – kind of like the “Future of Painting” show of last May.
