Murals

Omaha:  2011, Jim’s Seek and Save Antiques (Leavenworth St. at Saddle Creek)  and 2009, Maria Bonita Restaurant  (with BU mural class team, 20th and Missouri Ave./L St.)

A Midsummer’s Mural – I have been fortunate enough to be working with long-time muralist and scenic painter, Richard Harrison.  We have worked together, here and there, for several years now.  See his website: http://amidsummersmural.com/ for more about him.  We have been very busy and do anything, large and small.

BU Mural Class (2006-2010) – An opportunity to teach a mural class taught me about the history of the mural, especially in Mexico, and working with up to 25 people on simultaneous projects at different stages.  An exciting whirlwind it was!  These are on recycled billboard vinyl, also called ”flex”, which makes them portable for exteriors.

Graduate School & Mardi Gras floats – The several murals I had painted during grad school were rooted in my first experiences painting large-scale, as a Mardi Gras parade float painter.  At the age of 21, I was designing and painting rolling murals!  It was a decisive opportunity and a high-flying time. See http://www.royalartists.com/ for some examples from my former workplace.
